Google Slides
Internet Tools Part 1

Google Slides is just one of many resources Google has to offer for individuals who have a Google Mail (Gmail) account. Google Slides is a free, online tool that is easily accessible for Gmail users. This tool is very similar to Microsoft Powerpoint, however, Google Slides is all online and does not include some of the features of Powerpoint. One of the pros of Google Slides is that it makes group projects and presentations much easier. There is an option to "share" a presentation with others who also have a Gmail account. A user can also share it with anyone with the sharable link when the setting is changed, this can include non Gmail users. The user can also control who can edit, view, and share the presentation as well by clicking the drop down menu with the pencil icon.
Google Slides also saves changes automatically so users do not have to constantly worry about saving or losing their hard work. It also lets an individual know when their last edit was. There is a variety of themes that can be chosen from and there is the option to upload photos and videos. However, one of the cons of Google Slides is that there is a limiting factor when it comes to creativity. There is a a short list of fonts that are available, which differs from the numerous amount of fonts Microsoft Powerpoint has. The slides are also a lot narrower than Powerpoint's slides and makes it slightly challenging when trying to fit content.
All in all, Google Slides is a very resourceful internet tool and is very user friendly. The set up is easy to follow and understand and the "share" feature is so useful!
